![]() ![]() I would venture to say that if you are a trail runner, you will really like these shoes. ![]() the flexibility of the forefoot without the rigidity and almost clunkiness of trail runners or heartier running shoes. I agree with previous reviewers who said finally Merrell is making a shoe like they used to with great toe box! What is notable about these shoes besides the excellent toe box is: I think what makes me say that is that they fit so well that I was questioning whether they were too big because I can't feel them!!! I really think it's because they fit so well like all shoes should. For me I'd say size wise either true to size or maybe running a little large. However, the Moab Speed is most certainly lighter for use on speedier hikes and trail running. ![]() I have a history of sports injuries especially lower body and tend to be rehabbing one body part or another at any one point these days! I have an especially finicky left big toe issue that if the show is even slightly too snug it sets it off. I find the Moab Speed similar in engineering and design to the Best Womens Walking Shoes round-up category-winning Merrell MQM Flex 2. I bought these shoes with long recreational walks in mind.
